Job opportunitiesfor a rewarding careerExecutive Director The Executive Director has full responsibility for the functions and operations of the home. Reporting to Board of Directors your responsibilities include, but are certainly not limited to: · Ensuring and providing excellent client care while ensuring that all client rights are preserved and maintained. · Monitoring and facilitating the quality assurance of all client care programs, which includes supervising the QMRP’s client IPP development, implementation and maintenance, data collection and evaluation and the client day program implementation. Investigating all allegations of abuse and neglect. Quarterly, annual and special reporting to state agencies. · Responsible for successful completion of annual state ICF/MR survey and audit. · Financial budget and expense oversight and responsibly to include proposing annual budget, managing approved budget, monitoring Medicare and Medicaid billing. Reviewing and analyzing monthly financial reports. Monthly reporting to the Board of Directors, special reports when requested. Annual financial reporting to state and federal agencies. · Strict state ICF/MR regulatory compliance. · Hiring and monitoring the performance of the clinical team: Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Psychologist, RN, Dietitian. · Responsible for all staffing both through subordinate supervisors and for direct reports. Manage and monitor performance reviews, personnel policies and procedures, payroll, addressing complaints and resolving problems and rewarding and disciplining employees. · Family/guardian relations. · Facility and fleet maintenance including compliance with state and local fire, health, sanitation, emergency services and other annual inspections and audits. · Community relations to include participating in local and state mental health and ICF/MR boards, organizations and committees. Make presentation to community organizations, publicize tlc home activities in the community and state when ever possible while providing appropriate client confidentiality and dignity. · Assist with fund raising and lead fund raising activities when requested including grant writing, United Way · Assist with and actively participate in client care, staffing and daily living activities. · Be available on-call for emergencies. Requirements: Valid Drivers license, CPR and First Aid certification, NC Intervention training (or completed within 30 days of employment). BA/BS-in Human Services or a related field and 5 years experience including 2 years of supervisory and hiring responsibilities. Experience and understanding of ICF/MR regulations. Case management experience preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and training will be accepted for above requirements. Excellent writing skills including correspondence, reports, grants, policies and procedures. Ability to read, analyze and interpret journals, legal documents and state and federal regulations. Habilitation Technicians I, II and III. These positions care for profoundly mentally retarded and developmentally disabled adult clients in a disabled and handicap health care home like residence. Always embracing the tlc home mission: foster the growth of an intimate and interpersonally dynamic learning and living environment for each client. Duties include: Assist client into and out of bed, automobile, or wheelchair, to lavatory, and up and down stairs. Assist client to dress, bathe, and groom. Drive and/or accompany clients outside home, serving as guide, companion, and aide. Assist and/or serve food to client following special prescribed diets Entertain clients, reads aloud, and participates in programmed care activities or games and activities with clients. Changes bed linens, washes and irons client's laundry, and cleans client's quarters including all other areas within the residence. Initiates client's habilitation plan and collects data on program activities and program outcomes. Records daily HT and progress notes. Perform a variety of miscellaneous duties as requested such as obtaining household supplies and running errands. Participate as an Interdisciplinary team member. Maintain records of services performed and of apparent condition of client. Maintain client's rights and confidentiality. Abide by policies, procedures, and safety regulations (including OSHA and state ICF/MR). Attend required training sessions/seminars and staff meetings. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Levels II & III also require related experience and CNA and/or MA certification. CPR and First Aid certification NC Intervention training and a valid drivers license. Certification may be completed after employment but within 30 days. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constantly walk, stand sit, stoop squat. Regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance from co-workers and/or lifting devices. . Latex gloves are occasionally required.
